[TBR List] Bookshelf Challenge

This week on Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Artsy Reader Girl, it’s all about the TBR backlist as we share books that have been on our TBR for WAY TOO LONG! But, of course, it’s more fun with a twist… I figured I’d kill two birds with one stone and finally share my plans for a little bookshelf challenge. Most of my books were purchased when I first started blogging two year ago, and I STILL haven’t read them.  So, this year I’m breaking the cycle and reading my own damn books!

The plan is simple: tackle two shelves every three months and any books that go unread will be unhauled. The number of books will vary by shelf, and of course my longest books are all on the SAME shelf, so I’m giving myself a total of three saves. Hopefully my plan works… I’d really hate to send all my books away!

Round 1 TBR (January – March):

26192488 11250053 25716554 15819028

15797933  9712 28588073 30304221

 40051 25852870

Update: I started this project half-way into January, and so far, so good. I’ve already finished 3 of the books from Round 1!

What’s on your TBR backlist?

I absolutely loved The Snow Child and The Golem and the Jinni. Both have a bit of magical realism to them, which I don’t normally go for, but the stories were so good. I hope you love them! Swimming Lessons was also good, but I didn’t care for The Tin Horse. Good luck with clearing your bookshelves.

Hag Seed and The Golem & The Jinni look so cool! They’re on my TBR too 🙂 I’ve read The Snow Child, it’s a gorgeous book!
Good choices, feel free to check out my TTT list 🙂
